Keep Holmfirth Special - Mapping Project

Wooldale Co-operative Society are supporting the Keep Holmfirth Special project to map our local food web.  The Council for Protection of Rural England’s Food Webs survey is an effective campaigning tool and maps the links in local food production, from producer to processor to retailer to community.  The results can be used, for example, to oppose inappropriate development by showing its likely impact on the community and local economy.  The project is at the trial stage and will need more volunteers soon.
