Wooldale Co-operative Society is committed to becoming an efficient, caring, and profitable Co-operative enterprise to the benefit of Members, Customers, Staff and the Communities in which we trade.

We face strong competitive pressure from the large supermarket groups and at the moment depend mostly on the convenience sector.

On line trading, and increased local competition remain a  threat that could undermine the business.

Our objectives are  :

1. To increase retail sales by :
   a) Improving our product offer
   b) Introducing more attractive 'local' and ethical products
   c) Refurbishment of stores
2. To introduce profitable new services to our customer base.
3. To increase customer loyalty and spend by increasing the benefits of membership and supporting local community groups
